.BIN to .LT1?

I did a search on this, but couldn't find it...

Is there a way to convert a .bin file to a .lt1 file? Or can LT1 Edit read a .bin file?

TIA!

Unfortunately for you, LT1Edit won't read bin files,( I have both and just tried it.) and I believe that even if you found another .lt1 file you can't just load it into your PCM because it has a differend VIN number. On the other hand, TunerCat can read and write both
But there used to be a converter program out there that would convert them, unfortunately, LT1Edit still won't allow you to flash a file that isn't tagged with the VIN that you're licensed for . Been there tried to do that!

You can load a .LT1 file with a different VIN in your PCM. When you read it back it will be stamped with your own VIN number. At least in LT1 edit ver 2.2 for OBDII. I did it a couple of weeks ago.

I use this app.

http://carprogrammer.com/Z28/PCM/Tools/TuneConv.exe

Save it to your PC.
It will convert an .lt1 file to .bin and .bin to .lt1 file automatically.

It's pretty old so it may or may not work with the newer programming tools.

I tried to use that converter in a .lt1 file from a 96 Camaro OBDII but it will not convert it, I found the same one but a DOS version, that one did the conversion but tunercat couldn´t open it. Anyone knows of another utility besides tuneconv.exe that converts OBDII .lt1 files?
