ECM Tuning

If you tune out EGR, AIR, and put in a high flow cat can you still pass emissions? I would like to get a tune here pretty soon and would like to know...will it come up as "not ready"? Also does deleting AC take in any account for emissions? Thanks in advance...

It depends on how emission inspection is performed in your state. Since your car is 1995, they won't be plugging into it to get the OBD2 status. If they measure for NOx emissions, you may fail without EGR. The AIR is typically only used during warm up, so that should not be an issue. If they do a visual inspection, you may fail with the high flow cat.

I guess the best thing to do is try it and see what happens.

Yea...but you don't have to go to the DMV to get emissions do you? Oh ok so they only test the ecm on obd2....what if I just leave the pump on? thanks..

Having the air pump on or off shouldn't matter as far as emissions from the vehicle itself is concerned, for the purposes of the tests the inspection stations perform. But, if they do a visual inspection you may fail without it.
