white smoke is a good sign of a bad head gasket or cracked head usually and antifreeze burning in the engine will have a very strong odor, id stay away unless you have an engine rebuild in your budget

Jay you are just the guy I was looking for. I am the guy that used to live on airport and 48th with the 97SS. You said you could do a tune? This car has a set of heads cam and you name it and it really seems like its grey smoke and if you smell it it is way rich. Could you tune this out? there are no cats on the car and has long tubes. Maybe there is a 02 issue as well. It ran cool and the coolant and oil looked great?
