Best Tuning software/ cable for 94 LT1

What is the best tuning software out there for my 94 LT1 and best OBD1 Cable???
Would it be PCMFORLESS, MadZ28 Tuning, LT1 edit, Tunercat, Etc.
What would the prices be on these Items?

I would be using my home computer and I would be totally new to this tuning thing.
My mods are in the sig.. I have a A/F gauge and Im running rich with bad gas mileage.

Thanks,
Josh

I use a cable I built from a parts kit from http://www.wotelectronics.com/
Then I use TunerCat and the $EE definition file. Check your connector to identify if it's the OBD-I or II connector, even if it's a II style connector it's still OBD-I, just one of those funky years that GM didn't feel like putting forth much effort into the small details .
If you've got any questions e-mail me because I don't frequent this board.

You'll need an ALDL to serial adapter from akmcables.com
They're pricey, 95 dollars new and assembled. I bought one off ebay though for 45. Tunercat is the cheapest and easiest to use for the obd1 cars and the have a 30 day free trial.
Oh, and dont get one of the cheaper cables like Mastach.com sells. I searched before I got mine and some people had problems establishing a connection.

hmmm.. I seen on the AKM site that the ALDL cables are 90.00 shipped, I'll go buy a MO tomarro and send it out.

Thanks for the replies.

I bought an AKM cable about 4 years ago, its been broken for the past 2, i emailed him about 6 months ago asking what it would cost for me to send it to him and have it repaired or looked at and got no reply. It's all glued together so you can't take it apart yourself easily without breaking the case. I wouldn't buy from him again because of the lack of service.....

One of the most rugged and lowest cost ALDL OBD1 cables I have seen is at:
http://www.aldlcable.com

I have one of them and they are quite sturdy. If you look at the aldlcable.com website, you can see a picture under their kits section of all the parts used. Shipping was very quick with mine, and for the price of $40 it is hard to beat.

This site also has quite a bit of information and links to the software packages available, and it explains the circuits used to make these cables.

You emailed one time 6 months ago, and never followed up?
