Post Best place to purchase a PCM???

well i have tried everything looks like my PCM is fried....read my post below to see what happened.....so i guess i need a new PCM. should i just go to the dealer or what? my last hope, i read in the haynes manuel that the EEPROM is reprogrammable by the dealer....so im crossing my fingers that they can do this....im calling Hypertech first thing in the morning and then the dealer to see what i can do......

Check this out, it might be of some use to you. Just make sure you don't tell them you fried it trying to program it.

Post and let me know how things turn out.

Just tell em you don't know WTF happened but you just want it fixed. Don't tell them a damn thing about the HPP or that you have ever heard of being able to reprogram the PCM.

Oh yeah, if they make you pay for towing make sure they reimburse you for the cost of the tow. Like the other post said the PCM is covered for 8 years!!

Read through your warranty book and it should tell you exactly what is covered. It should say something in there about the tow being covered although you might have to call the dealer first to authorize it.

Good luck!!
