Bad Computer

I am working on a 1995 Firebird Formula with a 5.7 engine. Troubles started with the low coolant light. System is full and cools properly. Problem started with it coming on occasionally. Now it is on almost all the time. Occasionally it does not come on when the car is started up and stays of until car is shut off. Occasionally service engine soon light comes on. Lately the engine fails to return to a low idle spped after warming up. Shutting the engine of and restarting fixes the high hot idle speed. Your thoughts.

The low coolant lamp has nothing to do with the computer.

If you have the SES come on, get it scanned to see what it is trying to tell you.

Personally, I blame the optispark.
