No question is stupid...
Since the EE is working use it. You'd know if it were wrong, the injector constant would be waayyy off.

Or no?

What year did you need it for anyways Steve?
Oh yes... he certainly can do that, but why EE and EEB? Both files should be in EE...

Eric, you have mail.

(I sent you the latest stock file for a 94 3.23 cal# 16210011 modified in lt1_edit to work with 3.42s. It also changed your shift points, so you won't have to worry about those)

Thanks

On the EEb they are 2369.76 lb hr and cylinder volume is 17.93ml/cyl

So i guess $EE is the one for me..lol..cause it shows them all right

Also when i do the .798 trick on the 2.73 BIN it doesn't come out to the same MPH as the 3.23 BIN..It is a few MPH lower..Should i use the X.798 then just take away 2 MPH to get it dead on,or will it be close enough??

Thanks
Steve

Hmm...I've only done a couple of 94's...and they were EEB. How can you tell if one is and one isn't?

Really?!
Hmm... none of the 94s I did were in EEB. Are you sure you were using the latest files?
I think I had to use EEB once or twice for an Ed W tune and some 94 Caprice or Roadmaster but never F-bodies....

When I first went to read my brothers 94 Camaro, It would only read the PCM in EEB. I tried at first to read it with EE and it wouldnt.

Heck I don't know. I was just using the file I pulled out of it.
As a matter of fact, the car was just in my driveway last night and I opened up the file in EE before I rememebered.

It must be some older calibration then... all the 94 tunes I have (and I have all of the latest ones for 2.73, 3.23 and 3.42) are EE tunes...

I just double checked again every single calibration I have for 94s and they are ALL EEs.
So you guys definetely are working with older calibrations. It's not something unexplainable though. A typical 94 had 5 updates released by GM and many cars on the road still have a #2 or #3 or even a #1 update. The dealership doesn't always update those automatically when you take your car in for service....

The easiest way to find out what calibration your car has is remove the PCM and take a look at the sticker. There should be a number on the second piece of the sticker of the following form: 16210011. (latest CAL for a 94 A4 3.23 with Z rated tires, non California)
Then take the VIN number and go to http://calid.gm.com and check it there. It will show you the list of calibrations released for your car.
