Hi. Can someone please email me a copy of a Stock 96 .LT1 (fbody) file? I have done searches on the net and found many supposed "stock" files, but they are all altered one way or another. Thanks

Do not interchange 96 and 97 files!
The PCMs are different and have different part numbers as well as slightly different construction.

This is what I was concern of as well. I bought a used "96 PCM" with the cable. And threw in the settings that was used to dyno tune my car (with an unlimited version) into this used PCM so I can change it when I want.

The problem I have is that this used PCM was modified by Ed Wright and doesn't openned up properly with the LT1 Edit 2.1B but perfectly with 1.9d.

Although the car is running perfectly now with the used PCM, I wanted to get a stock file and upload that, then change the settings as I need. This way I know exactly what is change. Second issue is that this was told to me as a 96 PCM but the LT1 software base screen show that it is a 97 LT1. Is this something that we input in or is this telling me that this used PCM is indeed a 97? Finally Ion, you told me previously I can just upload the stock file, even with a different vin number in the .LT1 file?

thanks

(sorry to hijack the thread )
(thanks for the files - Matt)
