Another gear swap, shift point thread...
Hey all I did a lot of searching and looking through tunercat, and I just wanted to be sure I was doing it correctly. I will be installing the rear at a later point, it is going to be built tomorrow. So I can't just test/scan/change until then but wanted to be on the right track...
I am going to 3.73's from 2.73's so I scaled all the shift MPH tables by .73, and just for good measure I also scaled the TCC locup tables (only where it doesn't read 234/255) by .73 as well. Verified the shift RPM was set at ~5500 vs 54xx stock, it has been this way for a while to extend the shifts a little. That should work well too because I should be crossing the traps at about ~5400 RPM's or so...
These are the tables I scaled by .73:
Normal Mode Up/Down Shift Points
Performance Mode Up/Down Shift Points
Manual Mode Up/Down Shift Points
Cruise Mode Up/Down Shift Points
Kickdown Mode Up/Down Shift Points
Hot Kickdown Mode Up/Down Shift Points
Cold Kickdown Mode Up/Down Shift Points
TCC WOT Forced Lock Speed Threshold Vs. Gear
TCC Normal Mode Engage MPH Vs. Gear Vs. %TPS
TCC Normal Mode Release MPH Vs. Gear Vs. %TPS
Did I miss anything? And thanks for the heads up if so...

In my experience, you'll probably need to lower the WOT shift points a little from there.
I changed from 2.59 to 3.54 and just scaling didn't work.
I assume it's because the revs increase faster with the new ratio.

Yes, your car will rev much faster with the new gears. And changing gears in an automatic takes some time. I'd start with the scaling, and if you have problems bouncing your rev-limiter try reducing your shift points by 1-2 MPH
