adjusting A/F ratio with Tunercat?

Ive been learning little by little how to tune my car. Ive done some reading but cant seem to find which table to adjust to move the BLM up and down to get 128. In Tunercat, Im looking at the histogram function to see where Im lean. Is this where you guys look to see what needs adjusting? There are a few Tables dealing with MAF values at the end of the table list, but I dont think thats what I need. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Injector constant and MAF table is where you make the adjustments. Injector constant will affect all BLMs(raise constant, raise BLM:lower constant, lower BLM) and the MAF is for more fine tuning since it only affects the BLM based on the MAF reading... and the affects are inversely related so opposite the injector constant.

That is what you want if the BLM is off in only a few cells. Looks at your AFGS in those cells and then adjust the MAF values accordingly. Be aware though that you can't just change only a few values by a lot. The data points have to form a relatively smooth curve or it will confuse the computer and the car will run like crap. I found this spreadsheet very helpful when tuning the MAF tables.

If BLMs are too rich or lean in all cells then you can adjust injector constant.

Re: adjusting A/F ratio with Tunercat?

Thanks for the info. I have a another Q that may be related. At the 4000 point, I have the timing backed all the way off to 28deg. Any more and I get knock. Could I change the AF ratio here to richen it up a tad and possibly put more timing back in. Its even below the stock setting. I have a datalog and a tunercat file handy if someone would be willing to take a look. I got a little help doing the tune file and only tweaked the spark tables to get rid of the knock. New times in sig today. Thanks guys.

If you're talking about 4000 at WOT, your better off using the %change A/F ratio vs. RPM at WOT table than changing the high MAF values.

If it's not at WOT, then that might be a possibility I guess, if the knock is being caused by a lean condition.

it is at WOT. I will look at the tables then. Thanks. How are you at reading logs?

Appreciate it. I will get you the bin and log when I get to my other computer. Probably tommorow.
