? about LT4 KM and Madz28 tune

I have a mail-order tune done by Madz28 and one of the things done to it is "knock retard desensitizing." My question is would I be able to plug in my new LT4 knock module and do nothing further, or would I have to have the PCM retuned to accomodate the new module. Thanks in advance.

Re: ? about LT4 KM and Madz28 tune

Programming just modifies the attack and decay rates. It doesn't alter the module's sensitivity. LT4 modules are supposed to do a better job of filtering out false knock such as valvetrain noise generated by roller rockers and such. Whereas, the LT1 module picks up every little noise and treats it as knock.

I'd consult Madz28 though. He might have made the timing curve more aggressive and will want the module sensitivity. Everyone else is just offering their best guess. He'll know for sure.

No need to retune. It will work fine with the current tune.
