? about heated o2

Hi guys I've run in to a problem. First of all this is for 730 8D.
I'm running a heated O2 in the collectors. Int is 108 and I did a plug reading. They are burning perfectly, but how can that be? I have no vacuum leaks, if I did then the Int wouldn't be that rich. Question is "If I am using a heated o2 should I change the mv of the 02 sensor constants in the bin? I am using AUJP, and the only things I've changed are the cooling fans, highway mode enabled, disable EGR, no air pump. VE, spark advance and most every thing else are still stock.
I've read just about everything, including posts by 11's or bust, Grumpy, Rbob, Trax, saturn, funstick, and countless others over at thirdgen.
Somebody help me.

Let me ask you this, how did you convert to heated 02s? The 02 must be at 600*F to read accurately. Any hotter and they will report a lean issue.

I've tried to convert but don't know what I can use as a thermal relay to shut off the 02 at 600*F...

hi ZPaul2Fresh8
If you look at any wiring diagrams for a heated o2 sensor, you'll see that the heater circuit is just 12 v bat. power with ign. in run position full time , ( no relay). If your asking what color wires go where? Purple is always the sensor output. Depends if your using 3 wire or 4 wire sensor, I just happen to be using a 3 wire. Remember the heater circuit for the sensor is internally regulated.
Now you have to answer my question. JK

No, I was asking how do you know you're not over heating your 02s with a CONSTANT 12v source? I believe they are controlled with a temp control in the PCM that shuts off the 12v to the 02s once they are heated.

I've tried the normal 3 wire setup and after the install I logged data and my Short term counts went through the roof indicating a LEAN condition! They were wired up perfectly and the only thing I can think of is overheating them, if that's possible....????

The heated O2s are internally regulated. The PCM has nothing to do with the heating. 3-wire O2s just hook right up to a 12v source and the 3rd wire goes to the pcm for the mV signal.

At stoichiometric A/F ratios the O2 sensors are very insensitive to operating temperatures, as long as they are AT LEAST 600degF. It doesn't hurt if they get hotter than that. At richer than stoich A/F ratios, operating temperature is a major problem with regard to output, but under those conditions, they could be seeing 1000-deg exhaust. The PCM doesn't even connect to the heater circuits.
