97 LT1 Pcm in 95?

97 LT1 Pcm in 95?

I had a 97 TA that I took the cam and supporting mods out of and put it into a 95 TA. Can I use the pcm out of the 97 (that is already tuned for the cam) in my 95?

The 97 PCM will work with the 95 engine. You will have unused connections that will produce codes, unless they are tuned out - after-cat O2 sensors, crankshaft position sensor, EVAP vacuum detection switch come to mind. The 97 PCM will require you to install a (100Kohm) 96/97 knock sensor in the 95 (which has a 4.4Kohm sensor).

What the 97 PCM is not compatible with, if your 95 has an auto trans, is the 95 version of the 4L60E. While both use a pulse width modulated converter lockup, the internal components are not compatible.
