96 LT1 will not start on hot days.

I had my engine rebuilt at the end of last year because I blew the heads out. And on several occasions after driving during a hot day, I turn the car off and it will not restart. The car will turn on for a few seconds but I can't get any gas to the engine. After the car cools down it start up and run without problems. I've taken in to have the mechanic run a diag but they find nothing. Have anyone had this problem?? Since I had the engine rebuilt I installed a performance K&N airflow kit. Could this be part of the problem?? If so what can I do fix this and start enjoy the feeling of driving my Z again without any issues.

Thanks,

I doubt the K&N has anything to do with it. Check your Fuel Pressure and see if the pump dies after its run for a while.

This should be move to LT1 tech too...

Replace your fuel filter and mark it out of posible problem checklist.

I owned a carburated ford that did the same thing. only difference was the fuel filter was conected right onto the Carburator and as soon as it got hot.. the engine will not run or would not start.. Dirty fuel filter was always the culprit.
