Are '96 and '97 computers interchangable?

I have a stock computer from a '97 was hoping to be able to use in my '96. Will this work?

Considering they are from the same type of transmission (auto to auto, 6sp to 6sp) then yes. 93, 94, and 95 are the years that are all different from eachother (unless it's manual, then 93 is the only different one of 93-95). 96-97 are the same.

They do have different service numbers, but they will interchange assuming it is programmed to match your vehicle.
