The car needs the map to run in s/d. Maybe you meant Maf.

Don't know what it would look like but it should definately have a code.

Sounds corny, but you did mention it. I would replace the coil wire with a stock length one. My coil wire was bad and I thought the opti was going. It would break up bad in the higher rpms, and wouldn't shift at WOT when I had the auto. Replaced the coil wire and all was good. Cars can do some crazy things.

Re: 94 LT1 issues

Well, looks like the problem may have been found as to why the knock counts were on a non-stop cycle. My buddy went to put in an LT4 KM on saturday, and when he opened the computer up........

there was NO knock module installed. Am I missing something or should there at least be a stock one in there?? Damn MAF cars and their quirks.

heheh... now how the hell did that happen.

My guess would be that without a knock module, the PCM would register anything that sent a signal to the knock sensor as knock.

where did he get the PCM?

Re: 94 LT1 issues

It was in the car when he bought it. The whole situation was just funny too. He opened up the computer and was like "What the hell??? Hey, come look at this!!"

Me: "What the hell???"

Haven't had a chance to run datamaster on it again, soon hopefully.
