I looked at madtuner and pcmforless, neither offered the entire pcm.
I picked up a couple of 95 pcms off ebay, they might have 93s also.
What does it do, or not do? madtuner does sell chips for the pcm, just not the whole thing.

Thanks! The PCM is not putting out enough voltage to the ICM. This is causing the car to not run. The PCM should be putting out 5 volts but is only putting out a little over 1 volt.

The signal on the white wire from the PCM to the ICM is a 5V pulse, so its varying from 0V to 5V. If you measure the voltage with a DC volt meter, you won't get anywhere near 5V. Try measuring it with the AC scale, and look for 3-4V.

The guy who measured it used a ociliscope and only got just over 1 volt.

vmatt350, what setting was the o-scope on, AC or DC?

Injuneer, is that voltage correct for key on, engine off?
Also, if he is needing another ECM, can he replace it with a 94-95, which is a PCM but is programmable?
I don't know the answer to either question, but I was just thinking about his dilema.

Key on, engine off, the voltage is "0". There is only a pulse when the PCM tells the ICM to fire the coil.

Thanks. So engine not running, key to start, engine rotating, the voltage should be pulsing from 0v to 5v AC?

With this being the case, the guy was only getting a puls up to 1 volt. I dont know what he had the scope set on, I will check today.

If he had a scope, he should have seen the trace of the signal moving from 0 to an almost instantaneous peak of 5V, then dropping off to 0 again. That would happen 4 time for each revolution of the crank.

With an AC meter, its not going to swing from 0-5V. The pulses are frequent and short. At an 800 rpm idle, there are 3200 pulses per minute. The AC volt meter is going to read somewhere in between 0 - 5V.

Cardone has a rebuilding service for your ECM- I had mine rebuilt by them 1 year ago. Works great! Price was I think $160.00, their facility was/is in the Philadelphia area. Just a few days return. i returned through the NAPA parts chain. I am very happy with their service!
Good luck, Ted

Well, I got the computer back from cardone and they said there were a few failures that they were able to fix. I installed the computer and there is no change. Still get the DTC 41. WTF!!! I am really starting to hate this car!. I have replaced everything in the ignition circut and the car will still not run.

Anyone have any more suggestions? Or want to buy a great parts car?
