ive got a 93 z28 and believe i fryed the ecm (no communication with the scanner and makes a buzzing humming sound) what years and other vehicles ecm's can i replace mine with ?

 

or can i upgrade to a newer ecm? if thats at all possible or any better?

 

It won't interchange with anything later. I don't know about anything earlier-I doubt it. If you wanted to swap to a later PCM (instead of ECM), you would have to change the engine harness and redo some circuit feeds from the 93s forward harness. You would also have to add a MAF or have it tuned for speed density only.
