7000k stock PCM limit
7k stock PCM limit
I always thought the PCM was limited to 7k rpms. However , I remember a discussion on some PCMs being able to go to 7200k. Can anybody shed some lite on this ? I am bumping the 7k limit close to the end of the 1/4 and was thinking an extra 200 rpms would do the trick. Also, what exactly happens after the 7K limit is reached? I have heard that the fuel is cut.

Re: 7k stock PCM limit
On Obd1 cars the ECM crashes and the engine shuts off. You have to key off and restart. OBD2 cars give you a little more RPM range, but tuning in the upper RPMS is tricky
