7000+ rpm on stock PCM?

I have some saying it isn't possible and others say it is, so now I'm confused. Is it possible to go past 7000 rpm on stock pcm? If not, what is the most user friendly setup to go with: FAST, DFI, etc whatever. What are those guys with the huge solid roller cams from Cam Motion running for pcm? I know they have to be turning atleast 7000 rpm right? Anyway, thanks for the help. Also someone said the the Vette pcm can go higher that the F-body, is this true.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Most of the guys you see on this board ven with the solid rollers are using the factory PCM.

Just do what you can within your budget. Aftermarket engine management will set you back $2k+. Call the Cam manuf. and see what they can grind for you to stay under a 7k rpm shift point.

I myself have FAST/Speed pro management, anbd wouldn't do it any other way (in comparison to DFI, E-motive, etc)

Good luck!

I shifted my solid roller 383 at 7,200 with the stock PCM. I've heard the vette pcm's are good until 7,400, but you can't use them on an f-body.
