50 lb injectors and LT1 edit help?!

I need to run a set of 50# injectors on my 383. these are the largest high immpendance injectors available. My question is.....
What should i enter into LT1 edit as injector size? Is 50 the max? or can I put more? such as 52 to make sure the correct size # is put in for compensation for flow rating differnece by manufacturer. for example if they are rated at 50lbs at 39.5 PSI then on my car they would flow 52lb's at 43.5 PSI. Can I enter 52 in? And how do I figure the offset? and do i need to change it?

thanks

First off why do you need such a large injector? Are you NA besides the N20

Most people leave the offsets the way they are. There maybe some 50lb offsets floating around somewhere. The highest Ive seen is 42lb offsets.

You should be able to enter a value that high...

well making 525 HP at the flywheel and the addition of 250 HP dry Nitrous system that would be consistant with 50 lbs injectors that supply enough fuel for up to 800 HP @ 85% duty cycle. We spoke to a fuel injection specialist that is a buddy of my engine builder and he recomended 50lbers. Is this overkill ? I thought that some 44 lbs accel injectors would be enought but he said they would be working too hard to supply the needed fuel.

You definitely do need to put in new offsets for the 50# injectors! It will run like crap w/o the correct offsets...

First, set the injector constant to 50#, and then multiply the stock 24# injector offset table by 5% across the board. Start the car, let it go into closed loop, and check and see where the BLM's settle to. Keep multiplying the entire offset table by 5% until the BLM's are near 128 (might take a few times), and you should be set.

BTW, I noticed you're running a large dry setup - these injectors don't like lots of fuel pressure! They lock-up (just like the stockers) when the fuel pressure starts getting up there. With a shot that big, I think that they'd almost certainly lock-up... and you definitely don't want that.

Actually after speaking to my engine builder today and getting a little more info the dry setup isnt going to work. So I am going to go with accel 44# injectors and convert to a wet system.

What would be the injector offset for the 44# ers and are the accel injectors rated at 39.5 PSI or 43.5 PSI ???

reason i ask is if they are rated at 39.5 PSI dont i have to multiply the rated lb/hr ofthe new injectors by 1.04 to get the correct lb/hr @ 43.5 PSI and enter in this # into LT1 edit (~45.6) instead of 44

If you're buying injectors from Accel (several hundered dollar purchase), the least Accel could do is tell you the right offsets - so ask them! They might not give you the exact battery voltage data points that are used in the LT1 PCM offset tables, but that's not a problem... just extrapolate.
