120 dollar fuel comp

i was readin one of the conquest sites, and i came across this link:

http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html

they say that they can run any engine. NOTE: this is NOT a turn-key computer, what you get for 120 bucks is a bunch of parts that you assemble yourself. anyone remember "heathkits"?

batch fire, not sequential. no timing setup. BUT, it does conviently get rid of the pcm's need for the opti. which leaves timing WIDE open. you don't get any sensors, except map, which is built in.

so, you guys tell me why this absolutely, positively, no-way-no-how, will not work. i might buy one just to try. for 120, if it doesn't you aren't out that much. BUT, i did see a guy on the wuest board running with it. and yahoo has a huge group for tech q's.

so, comp experts, let's hear it.

You would probably be better off posting this in advanced tech because there was a hugh thread in there about alternatives to the optispark.

Maybe a Moderator will see this thread and move it for you.
