About what would it cost to do a dyno tune to a stock programmed car? I have an 87 Iroc, 355, 10:1, Probably will have sportsman 2 heads, have .560/ .560 lift cam, HSR w/ 36 lb injectors, planning on a 125 shot of nitrous. Would I benifit more from a dyno tune as opposed to a mail order? Thanx for your help. Chris

You'd probally really like to get a dyno tune if possible. Theres a few people in your area interested in me coming up again. Would you like to get in touch with them?
Usually when I go up there people get dyno tunes for 250-300 with the dyno time

If I were to get a mail order chip, would I get a break on the dyno tune if you come up? I don't have that kind of money right now. I'm still collecting parts. Thanx. Chris

Isn't the 87 a 165 computer with Mass Air? I believe that the MAF on these cars is a pretty big restriction. Also, the ALDL output on the 165 computer is very slow and it makes data gathering pretty painfull. A switch to a 730 computer gets you to a Speed Density system, with much higher baud rate on the ALDL output. The 730 is much more refined. That being said, I've seen a Vette with a 406 stroker motor running in the 10's with the 165 computer. Maybe Alvin has another twist on this.
