Question Wheel and Tire combos

Currently I have Corvette 15x7 Rally wheels with 215/70/15 on them and my traction sucks my car want to burn off at every take off. I am thinking of buying new rear rally rims because I dont want to change out the rallys I think old cars should have older rims, should I go with a 15 x10 or 15 x8 and do you guys know the best size tire to fit these rims, I am willing to shackle or lift the back for more traction.

Thanx

215 are baby tires!!! holy poop on a stick!

before i got my TT2s i have a 15x8 on the front and 15x10 on the rear corvette rally rim style. The tire on the front was a 235/50/15 and the rears were 275/60/15

watch for the backspacing with the 10in rim i had a little problem with rubbing on the rear right wheel, but it was easly fixed.

I'm running 235/60-15 front and 245/60-15 rear on 15x7 Torque Thrust Ds on my 67 RS. On my kid's 67 coupe we're looking at 245/45-17 on 17x8 Torque Thrust IIs. Both stock ride height with no mods.

14 x 6 front and 15 x 8 rear chrome reverse wheels.
205/70/14 front tires and 255/60/15 rear tires.

I'm not sure my combination would look right on a Camaro, though.

Lifting the rear w/shackles will have an adverse effect on traction. Makes weight transfer harder.

i would exactly recommend putting them on the leafs IMO, but eh ppl do it.

the leaf springs them selfs can get pretty weak, sometimes the stock leaf springs can get pretty soft and are no good, might wanna check and make sure thats not part of the problem.
