Whats the best electric cooling fan...

Anyone have any thoughts on what brand electric fan I should buy for my 454. The space I have to work with is 22.5"x15-16" - depth is not an issue.

Should I look for one big fan or duals?

Thanks.

Thermostatically controlled
Manual fan switch
AC relay

Had one on my 454SS. In the winter time it never came on unless the defrost was on (AC circuit). Had no problem keeping the engine cool in the summer.

The motor failed after about 7 years and I was able to get a replacement motor.

I have one off these on my K5 LT1 swap, works great, but yeah, AMP hog, runs ~ 35 A running, 55A+ on startup

Go to the local junkyard if you have one and get a set of LS1 fans. Had them on my 79 Z w/ a BBC in it and they worked fine even w/ only one hooked up !
