I have been having trouble with my 77 Trans am and I think it might be the coil. I noticed that when I changed distributor cap that it had a red and white wire coil in it. This was odd to me for I always thought the pontiac was suppose to have the yellow and white wired coil. Will this make any differece in how the car runs? Any help will be appreciated.

 

i think all the coils for pontiac olds and chevy are the same its just the distributer shafts are all diferent
