What brand of headers to buy

I am putting headers and true dual exhaust on my car before it goes into storage in 3 weeks. The speed shop I deal with sells Flowtech,Dynomax, and Hooker headers. They will sell me a set of either brand for $180 Canadian and was just wondering what recomendations any one on here might have towards any of those brands.I just put on Dynomax mufflers and new tailpipes a few months ago.I plan on having pipes made from each header to each existing muffler and having a crossover pipe installed as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is the first set of headers I have ever bought and I don't want to end up spending money on junk parts.

I would say Hooker is the best brand of thiose three. I would go with them. Also' get them to put a flange in the xover so you can unbolt it if you ever need to remove the transmission or something. It could make your life a whole lot easier some day. Trust me. BTW: I'm in NS-where are you?

I would use the Hooker headers . I used the dynomax and hooker in the past an the Hooker seem to fit better. They had better plug access and the flanges for the gaskets were flatter , = less chance for leaks.

I never would of thought of flanging the xover pipe that is a really good idea . I live in Ontario. About 200 km's north west of Toronto

If you want to keep the car, and have the headers last, get the Flowtech ceramic coated headers. Unless you buy a Hooker Supercomp, you will not notice any performance difference. I have used them numerous times, and they seem to fit pretty good, and the coating is very durable. Jegs has them for less than $200, coated.
just my $.02
