Voltage regulater

Does anyone know if the voltage regulater is built-in to the alternater or
if it is external on a 69 Firebird 400?

It should be a seperate unit. It is an external 63 amp. They are usually located on the fenderwall in the engine compartment. This is for a 67-72 Camaro so it should be similar.
