I've seen so many people get shot down by other people on this board it's not even funny. As long as your happy with what your doing keep doing it and have fun. If you don't do it there is always going to be that little what if.
My reply,I have owned 2 vettes already and will get another when I want, but for now I wanted to see how the lower side lived!
Starting with a 307 doesn't even give a guy a chance thats why not use it.
Its just like on the Oldsmobile forums, someone always wants to be different and build a 260 or a Olds 307,the only way they will be different is being slow but theres always the hero who has to proclaim his 85 delta 88 has never been beaten with a 307 thus keeping the legend of the starchild alive.
Re: Twin-Turbo 307__Supercharged 307
if you are going to go Forced induction, the less CID you get the greater requirement for fuel you will need.. the bigger the engine the less octane you will need to make the power...
Its a lot better to go with the biggest cube engine and the best head before going to the forced induction part. That way you get the best out of everything...
WIth that small of an engine you will probably need alcohol injection to run pump gas on 500rwhp or so.

Re: Twin-Turbo 307__Supercharged 307
But wasent the LT1 in 93 top of the line?
And to ask reason why somebody would mess with a 70 Camaro is just asking for a harsh comeback!
I really don't care what somebody builds, but when someone ask for advice they have to take what they get!
Why try to be different with a 307 when the real challenge is building a 350 and outrun the other 5 million out there?

Re: Twin-Turbo 307__Supercharged 307
Absolutley!
I would usue a 307 in a heartbeat for a truck motor or a very reliable daily driver that you wanted 200,000 miles out of.
some small upgrades like a performer intake,600 holley,,small cam and headers and you got a perfect driver.
But don't think your going to slip one in on the compitition.

Re: Twin-Turbo 307__Supercharged 307
You could get a World 454 Small block and make it look like an old greasy engine. You could even put 307 stickers on it.
(yes, I know it's really expensive, I'm just throwing out ideas.

Im sure some aftermarket people had something for sell that made 450 horses also but not something a regular person could buy.
