OK thanks, i appreciate your help. Great, im happy its not a "clone". But i have no clue about the #'s on the block, because when i acquired the car it had a 455 out of a Buick Skylark in it
. But i will check the rearend and get back with you. All i know about it off the top of my head is it is a 12 bolt and i think *not sure* it has 3.73's in it. But i have another question. Were ALL SS's equipped with front disc brakes? Because i read that in a thread somewhere awhile ago on here, and mine does not have front discs. And the fact that u just verified my camaro is an SS350 is kina puzzling me.So SS's with discs or some with and without? Also how many camaros were equipped with the (deluxe) style interior?Because i have never seen these style door panels on another camaro ANYWHERE.And i cant find any aftermarket or original ones, so any help on these last couple of questions would be great
. And i wont bother u with more for a couple hours
. But thanks for your help, time too tinker!

Yes, all SS350's came with power front disc brakes. But a lot of drag racers would remove the discs and swap in drums for the reduction in weight and less drag. It could be that someone swapped out the whole front end on your car. Or, a worst case scenario is that someone swapped the VIN and trim tag from another car onto your car's body. See if you can find the date codes on the rear. Here's a picture of where to look for the numbers on the rear http://www.camaros.org/rearaxlestamp.gif
You may need to clean it off with a wire brush. You can also check the partial VIN that gets stamped under the cowl on the passenger side to make sure your car isn't a tag swap. Here's a picture of the partial VIN with the cowl removed. http://www.camaros.org/cowlvin.jpg
The 12 bolt rear is a good sign since 99% of all SS cars came with a 12 bolt. Check to see if there are 2 fuel lines running from the gas tank to the engine compartment along the frame on the passenger side.

I just got off the phone with my dad(whom i got the car from). And he said it is an original SS350 but the front discs were removed when him and his brother used to race the car back in the day.He also said he doesnt think it is the stock rearend in it, but it might be.Im still going to check the #'s on it *didnt have time yesterday*. But im still curious about that interior, do u have any clue about my question i asked about the interior?
By the way, your the man
thanks for your help so far. i havent been able to get hardly any help on other forums.Because my post count is too low or somethin along those lines, heh.thanks.

The 722 interior code is for green custom interior. The door panels should have a molded in armrest I think. You can find those in most of the good Camaro catalogs(www.classicindustries.com or www.firstgen.com). Also, go to www.camaros.net and www.camaros.org for more information on 67-69 Camaros. They both have good message boards with some of the top experts on Camaros. A lot of the stuff you read in the Camaro books is based on old research and quite a bit of it is wrong.
