Angry Trunk

My trunk leaks water! Everytime I wash my car the trunk will just be standing in water. I have replaced the weatherstripping, that did not fix. Recently had body work done and there was a spot of rust on the corner of the back window, the body shop said that is were the water is coming in. Months after the body work the water is still coming in. I then replaced the gaskets around the taillights and it still leaks. I crawled inside the trunk and had somebody spray it with water it looks like it is coming in from around the corners. I just laid the weatherstripping in there, I didnt glue it down or anything, does it need to be glued down or anything else to work right. Jon

Did you check the window seal? They typically leak there first.

Spoiler

Before I had the body work done it didn't have a spoiler and it leaked. I had a spoiler added during the body work, and they checked the seal in the window and said it was fine.

If you can, I'd suggest crawling in the trunk again with a light and see where the water is coming from exactly. Is it over the weatherstripping, maybe under it.
