Suspension Upgrade...?

Suspension Upgrade...?
Hey gang,
Some of you may have answered my oddball questions before, but if not, I am restoring/modifying a 1981 Camaro. It's a base model, I suppose that's called a Sport Coupe.
I am about to start rebuilding the front end, and I want to upgrade the steering and suspension to Z28 stuff. Is it just a matter of removing the old stuff and putting the Z28 parts in, or am I going to have to move brackets around and weld stuff and God knows what else?
As I have no welder or welding experience, it would be really cool to know what I am getting into before I start. I appreciate any insight you may have!
Thanks,
Brian

You wont need to weld. Its all bolt on stuff. Where you will run into the most problems is rebuilding the front end. You need to compress the springs (this sucks) and press out the bushings (this also can suck). If you are near the west coast let me know. I may have a great deal for you . Ive had enough of my camaro and am parting it out. The entire subframe has been 100% rebuilt with new hotchkis 2" drop springs. It was done maybe 8000miles ago. You will be much happier just buying this than rebuilding your own if you can do it.

There's a great article on rebuilding front-end suspensions in the latest Car Craft. (Its the one with the hot babe standing in front of a med blue Chevelle on the cover.)
http://www.p-s-t.com has great prices on poly front end rebuild kits. As Cory said, its a bolt-on replacement.
