Spring INstall
Spring INstall
I need to replace fronts and backs with stock springs - anyone have a good how to and tool list? I've done it on my 99 Cobra with an Independent rear suspension but never on something like the Camaro.
Words of advise, etc??

Ever buy anything from:

How are these prices compared to PSTs?

Both my first gen Camaros have been mono-leaf'd so I'm probably not the best one to say. However I would suspect the multi-leafs, while heavier, are also stiffer improving both handling performance and improving 1/4 mile launches.
PST also sells a complete mono-to-multi conversion kit which includes everything you'll need to make the swap. I'm actually leaning towards that route myself.

I felt a reply is in order on the question of anyone having dealt with classiccarsprings.com. I am the owner of http://classiccarsprings.com. I am an ASE certified automotive parts specialist and have been in automotive since I was 10. I only recently put up this website because I saw too many people paying too much for parts for their camaro's (more specifically Leaf Springs). I am happy to help any one with any questions they may have about me, my products, or just technical help even if you don't buy from me. It is not that unusual for me to tell a customer that they don't need to replace their springs but that theyneed to do something else to solve their problem. And yes I do own a Camaro (only 1 right now though

I just bought a set of your springs. Fronts and the three leaf multi which I think are interesting cause they dont require a conversion kit from a mono to multi set up. I cant wait to receive them and get them on.
the reason most multileaf springs require an install kit is that most multileaf do not have a countersunk centerbolt and the monoleaf housing has no place for the head of the centerbolt whereas the the multileaf housing has provisions for it.
