So I got bored and started my car today

For the first time in.. 8 some odd months since I wrecked it. :-X Started up after a little bit of persuasion, and amazingly, ran/idled pretty well.

Grabbed a camera and recorded a short movie

Soo.. whatcha think? Not bad for a car that is technically stock, except for those flowmasters, and some crap headers.

Anybody know how hard it is to replace (basically) the entire front clip, on a '79 Z28, and the rear stuff? (Trunk, fin, bumper)

It would be a easy weekend project to replace a front clip on a late second gen. Alighn the doors to the quarter panels and then the fenders to the doors.

It would be cake... If there was no frame damage.... Everything just un-bolts, and then bolts back on... Just keep up with your hardware!!!!!

Sounds good.....

I wouldn't imagine it will be all that difficult to replace those parts - just some patience and tools should do the trick.

Oh ya - and a wad of cash could help too.

OK, there's your first mistake. Never EVER start a car for the heck of it. ALWAYS start a car out of either ANGER or DESPERATION. Then it's guaranteed not to run right. See, you're being too easy on your car. You're setting low expectations, which makes the car feel like it's not important to you. All cars want to feel important. If they don't feel important they just run like they should. It's when they feel that they are important or depended-on that they act up. That's their way of "getting attention." Hopefully you can learn from the emotional mistake you have made here and be a better owner to your car in the future.

BYW- sounds great! Ricers cringe when they hear that sound next to them at a light.
