Need a quart every 1000 miles or so.

 

I had the same problem before. I put new valve seals and it was fixed.

 

Yeah, a quart every 200-300 miles.

 

Nope. 24 years on the stock bottom end, 9 years and 45k on the heads, and it doesn't drink a drop.

I leave a rear main spot on the driveway, though. It's enough to **** me off, but I don't really notice any consumption between changes (4000mi or so).

How about a quart after trip to strip-5 to 6 passes and trip home on 396 w/ 168,000 miles.
