shifter placement
shifter placement
Years ago I had a shop put in a new shifter and linkage in for me. The shifter moved farther to the left as opposed to being in the middle of the “hump”. This winter I redid the interior and I’m currently having trouble getting a boot plate to fit.
If I were to find an original shifter and linkage (I’m assuming this is what changed) would the location of the shifter move back to the original place?
Thanks,
vic

All of the after market shifters, like Hurst, etc., maintain the original shifter location. There are universal boots sold by places like Auto Zone that should work.
