Yeah the motor was together BUT.......I made an $$$$$ mistake.
Its a long story but here it is in short form.... I was using stock 400 crank....good rods,pistons ...made a nitrous pass.... bounced off the rev limiter and broke just about everything from the intake down. The moral of the story.....use a window switch.

yes, I took care of the idling so far..i adjusted the a/f screws on each carb and it runs ALOT better. I need to richen it up though as I'm not really running lean and not rich, but I know if I get on it, it will lean out. I pulled the t-stat out and hollowed it..it ran alot cooler last night (probably cause it was REAL cool outside)..all in all, it runs good. I dont know exactly when I'll take it to the track..I have probably about 40 miles on it total...need to put more miles on it.

 

No problem, I am in Hawaii right now (5hrs behind you) so even if you get home say at 10PM it will only be 5 PM here. What ever works for you. The car is in San Antonio though in case you are wondering.

 

Bartonkek, when you go to the track the first time let me know. I would like to go with you and see how things work out!! If necessary, I have a trailer with a winch as well.

I need to break it in and tune it first..I have about 40 miles on it so far..so it may be a little bit until I do..I just have to keep my lead foot off the pedal and be patient.
