Rough idle when cold
Rough idle when cold
Ok, so its not a Camaro, but maybe someone here can help. My dad has a 71 Nova SS with a 350 (4-bolt mains, fully forged bottom end, camel back heads ??? flow numbers, a wild Camonics cam ??? specs, MSD, Holley 4150 carb, etc.).
It will idle really rough when the engine is cold, to the point it dies without giving it some gas. Once it warms up, it runs and idles fine, the way it should. Anyone have any idea what would cause this? Brand new Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, new vacuum hoses. Thanks!

I think it has to do with the fuel condensing before it reaches the cylinders. The carb atomizes it so it burns fully but in the cold intake/runners it condenses back to a liquid agin and doesnt burn.
But Im not really sure if thats what it is
My truck use to do the same thing. now (with no changes) it runs fine cold and then starts to stumble after it warms up
