Questions about a 77 Monte Carlo/350 hopefully you guys can help...
My roomate owns the car, it has 70k miles all original and in mint shape.
Headers, we have hooker headers to put on it but I'm nervous about getting the stock manifolds/bolts off. Worried about the bolts breaking. (some liquid wrench sitting over night followed up with a next day warm up of engine then try to break em loose?)
Once headers installed, we want to run true duals. I was thinking 2.25-2.5 inch exhaust pipes. Need an X-pipe? or just run each pipe back.....
What mufflers? I'd like to get away with not having to bring it to the local muffler shop, the rates here are horrendous.
This weekend we're doing intake manifold and hi performance carb (and intake as well)
I would imagine theres a bunch of vacuum hoses we can negate...or is that a big no no...
