putting 68 traction bars on '68 camaro

Hey guys I was thinking about putting some lakewood traction bars on my '68. I was looking at the rear end of the car and trying to figure out how they would mount. On the driver's side it would work fine but with the staggered shocks, how would it mount on the passenger side? does the shock mount to the traction bar or something because otherwise the shock mount would be in the way of the traction bars. does anyone have any pics of theirs? I was just wondering how it works. thanks guys.

We have lakewood on our 67 Camaro but they are the ones that take the place of the lower spring plate and the shocks bolt to them.

The last time I used Lakewoods, they were too short, and hit the spring behind the spring eye. I also had to section them to get them close enough to the spring. I much prefer Competition Engineering bars, they are the right length and angle, and come with the j-bolts. Both types replace the lower spring mount, and have ears to mount the shocks on. IMHO

If you like the Lakewood name, go with them. I have them on my 70 Nova, and they're only a few inches short of the spring eye. If you don't use a pad between the bottom of the leaf spring and the top of the traction bar, the snubbers that come with the bars are almost exactly the right height. Wish I had gotten the J-bolt option, though... Oh well.
