I recently acquired an '80 firebird formula that has the small twin ram air hood scoops. Would a hood-bird decal from the same year trans am fit over the hood of the formula without going over the scoops? Or any other decal from any previous years TA's? Thank you.

I think the scoops will get in the way, the formulas never had birds on their hoods.....Check out my site, I have a TA and the bird on the hood. Use it to compare as to where your scoops are.....I think they get in the way........So I'm not sure what you can do. Actually, you might try a different model hood bird, the one I have is larger than the earlier one, I believe. Go to that phoenix graphix site, and take a look at the earlier, smaller hood birds. That MIGHT work.
