Thumbs up Project car Finally Makes It to the Track!!

Finally after all the problems and outright bad luck I finally made a good pass. 12.87 @ 106. This was in 90 deg./70% hum. weather with 3.08 gears. Not a bad base line! Time to install the 3.73's and then SPRAY IT!! This is the car:

I now have two 12 sec 1981 Z28's in the driveway!

355ci.,272 HMV Crane am,Dart 200cc Iron Eagles,Performer RPM,750 Vac. Sec. Carb, 3.42 gears,2800 stall.

1981 Z28 T-tops
355, 215CC Dart Iron Eagles, 284 xtreme energy cam, Victor Jr. intake, 750 Double Pumper,3500 stall, 3.08 gears NOS Cheater. 12.87 @ 106.05

what kind of mufflers are on there? (the one that shows the underneath picture)

Thanks Guys. The mufflers are 3" Spintechs. These things sound AWESOME! If anyone can tell me how to make a sound file I can post one. I have the car on video but, I dont know how to get it on my computer. Polecat I am hoping for low 11's maybe in "Ideal" conditions a 10.999 would be nice.

10.99, then you'd want a 10.8....

Good job! Nice pics.

I remember my baseline runs. Fun but made me anticipate my new rear gears and tires getting installed way toooo much. LOL

I can't wait till my Chevelle is running mid 12's. Should be next month.

Rear axle is original pegleg 2:73 for now
Initial T/T = 13.58 @ 104.1 mph w/ 2.27 60ft.
Expecting 12.5's w/ new 12 bolt posi 3:73.
