Old style Trannys

I remember back in the 70s, you could get 4-speed trannys that were actually 3+1 OD's. I'm going for a retr theme in a high-horse 3rd gen. anyone give me model numbers to look for? maybe have one laying around?

I know Ford (based on the Toploader) and Chrysler (based on A-833) had them, but never heard of a GM passenger car with them in the smog era. Back in the 50's, GM had a 3-speed with an OD added on.

Hate to say it but those trannys were pretty lousy and I am sure they are hard to come by now. I *think* they were all ST10s but dont quote me on that. Just stuff a tremec TKO under there with an old style shifter . You'd be happier.
