in my '81 the oil pressure gage isn't showing any oil pressure, but i know i have some. so i was wondering if the oil pressure gage is tied in throught the computer or if it's something with the gage?

 

No computer interconnect. Check your oil pressure sending unit, and wires (voltage).

 

and on an 81, the oil pressure sender should be behind the intake(on a SBC)

if it has 1 wire, disconnect, look at gauge, hould be pegged(hi or low, can't remember), then jump it to ground, gauge should peg the other way, if it does, you need a new sender
