New Motor!

My little small block is running again. Should be hitting the track soon to see what it will run.

Here are the specs on the motor:
- '71 LT-1 block bored .040 over half filled with Hard Blok
- Eagle 4340 steel crank
- Lunati 6" Pro Mod rods
- Ross pistons Ceramic and low friction coated (13.4:1 compression)
- Hellfire rings
- Durabond bearings
- Fluidampr balancer
- Custom ground solid roller cam and Crower lifters (268 and 274 @ .050 with .630" lift)
- Crane double bar stud girdle
- Crane Gold race 1.5 ratio roller rockers
- AFR 210 race ready heads with 2.08" and 1.60" valves and Comp #943 1.550 roller springs
- Port matched Victor Jr. intake
- Race Demon 825CFM general competition carb
- MSD Pro billet distributor
- MSD Digital 6 ignition box

Sounds pretty good....not as radical as the cam specs/compression lists though,what gives?

The cam is ground on a 112 LSA for nitrous. My old cam had the same specs but the LSA was 106 and it idled at 1,200 with 5.5" vacuum. The new cam idles at 1,000 with almost 10" vacuum.

Here is the same motor with only 11:1 compression and the 106 LSA cam.

Ohhh, didnt notice the 112 LSA...that explains it.
