new connecting rod nut?
Whenever I need a stray part for an engine, I call the machine shop I like to use. They'll usually have a rod, cam dowel, or single set of rings for one cylinder, etc, laying around. You can also see if a large wrecking yard has a pile of busted engines headed for scrap, maybe there's an Olds in there you can cannibalize. Or go to realoldspower.com and see if anyone on that board has a nut they can let you have.
Yeah- local machine shop is your best bet. They often end up with extras of various parts laying around. Con rod nuts are similar between many different engines and manufacturers. Chances are one off a common Chevy, Ford or some other motor will work on your Olds rods.
