need help quick please

how do you get the crankshft pulley off.1978 350 .took 3 outer bolts out already..do i need to take the center..(crankshaft bolt)...

i am not sure about the bolt but you will need a puller.

you only need the puller if you're taking off the balancer , if you get the center bolt off , the pulley should come right off. you'll probly need to use an air gun or a breaker bar to get it off

doh! i was thinking the balancer.

you can borrow a puller from Canadian Tire. Ya just need to leave a deposit.

If you're only taking off the pulley, remove the 3 bolts & the center bolt. Give it a light tap if it doesn't come right off.

If you're taking off the balancer, you are going to need a puller. Most major auto parts stores let you borrow one for free or a very small fee.

Yeah, and if you can't get that center bolt off with a breaker bar due to the crank moving, you might need to get a friend under the car to jam a screwdriver in the flywheel. I had a do that with my '96... damn thing kept moving on me instead of loosening.
