Need Help

One of my friends says that a 67 and 69 camaro are the same and another says they are not even the same frame.

Who is right? Do they have the same wheelbase? What differences are there?

Thanks

www.camaros.org can tell ya all the differences. They are very much the same car, with slight differences biggest was the 69 which has different 1/4 panels, different rally sport setup and stuff. Interiors changed too. They list the differences somewhere on there, frames stayed the same i believe though.

Not only are the 67-69 Camaros the same under the sheetmetal, they have the whole front end (suspension, frame, etc) common to the 68 to 72 Nova. Don't go to the junkyard and ask for an A-arm for a 69 Camaro. Ask for a 71 Nova A-arm. More likely to find it (a lot of yard owners are not aware of the commonality) and they won't be charging 1st gen Camaro prices on you.

70 up is where they are different under the sheetmetal.

There's actually slightly more engine room in a '69 versus a '67/'68. In '69, they went with a long water pump instead of the short style that was in the previous two years.
