My experience with classiccarsprings.com

Yours maybe different but here's mine.

Ordered front coils and rear multi leafs for my car on Aug 25.

Received Coils in a week but no leafs. The box that the coils were in was flimsy and no packing materials was in it - just loose springs. After 2 weeks, still no leaf springs. Numerous contact to Brian yielded no help except to tell me he was tracking it. I asked for a new set to be delivered and he said he was waiting to get refund from shipping to send me new ones. Lousy policy in my opinion. Never heard back from company. Delivery company actually called me to tell me they found them. Finally got them right around October 1 - never once heard from Brian - no apologies - nothing. Leaf springs were loose, scrathed and dented.

Went to get springs installed - found out front coils were wrong - they werent even close. Called Brian - he said I needed to send them back to before he would send me correct ones. He said he would pay shipping to return them to him. I told him I would send them back in a new box as the old box was so flimpsy. He said fine.

I decided then to just ship them back and order springs from somewhere else cause my car was already at a garage and I didnt have time to wait for them to receive then send me the correct springs. I itemized my request for a refund which including shipping to and from classiccarsprings.com. Brian emails me and tells me he is going to deduct 20% CAUSE I didnt return the springs in the original tattered box with the original packing material. He said he would pay for me to ship him an empty box.

I gave him an ultimatum to which he has yet to respond.

Great business idea - lousy policies - lousy communication - I wish them luck.

They're going to have a tough time staying in business if they keep treating customers this way. Word gets out too easy these days ( internet ) about good and bad companies.

Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, man. Sounds like a "basement" company. As in, they sell car parts out of their basement while selling Amway products to their neighbors at church picnics. That sucks.

I agree, sounds like the're just a middle-man. And not a very good one.

I received a credit this morning. I need to wait until I get home to see if that matches my request. It looks a little short like he discounted the product return by 10% plus added my shipping costs.

I would have been more inclined to voluntarily let it slide if the guys was even slightly friendly or apologetic but he wasnt.

He has posted here when I mentioned their name and I gave him a thumbs up. This experience has been honest and up front on my end. Your experience may be different and I would suggest you dont pay with pay pal when transacting with anyone on the Internet that you have never dealt with before.

I paid almost twice as much to get replacement springs made by Federal Mogul - well worth the extra money to deal with someone else.

Just so you know, I HAVE got my money back when I bought through Paypal. Paypal has NOTHING to do with your credit card companies refund policy. If you still have problems, post it and I will say more.

BTW, the person I bought from was Lamar Murphy of Wichita Falls, Texas. VERY VERY dishonest person.
