Looking for some thoughts on LT1/T56 swap into 69
I'm looking at buying a 69 SS 350 body and putting an LT1/T56 in it. I've been reading up on some of things that need to be addressed. I would prefer to stay with the original gauges so that means I would need to convert the T56 tailshaft to run a speedo cable or get the CableX box. JTR offers the tailshaft conversion, but I'm not sure which version I would need. If you get the conversion to run the speedo cable, you still need the electronic signal for the computer to run the LT1 don't you? Also, regarding the fuel line hookup, does anybody know the part # for the Covette fuel rail and line if I end up getting an F-body LT1. And who offers the ECU modifications to eliminate the VATS? I've done some searches and I couldn't find the specifics for these questions. Thanks.
